Ancient cultures used myrrh as perfume, incense, and even medicine. It has a deep woody scent and it is most known for being mixed with frankincense. In the bible it was given as a gift at both the birth and the death of Jesus. The Egyptians fumed it in the temples of Isis and burned it at noon to honor Ra. 
 
Myrrh is used for purification, raising a spaced vibration, spirituality, getting rid of negative energy, peace, blessing objects, and anointing jewelry. Combined with frankincense it is known for banishing and reaching deeper states of meditation.
