The word chakra is a Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) word that translates to “wheel” or “turning” in english. Chakras are spinning energy centers and each one resonates with specific traits. We have 114 chakras in the body but there are 7 main chakras. Each of the main chakras is associated with a color. All of our chakras work together. If one of our chakras is being used more than another, it will throw off the flow of another chakra causing your chakras to be unbalanced. When this happens the trait related to the unbalanced chakra will be either become underactive or overactive.
Crystals work with the chakras that share the same color. If you are new to crystals this is a very easy way to help you pick the right crystals. For instance, if you have a job that requires you to communicate a lot, you can use blue crystals to support your throat chakra. If you are working on art you can use orange crystals to spark your creativity. If you have a goal you are working towards you can use yellow crystals to help support the solar plexus chakra. Likewise, if you notice you are focusing too much on the material world you can use red crystals to support your feeling of security and knowing that you have all that you need.
